OCAMPO-LANSANG  DELICACIES

Ocampo-Lansang Delicacies is a famous brand here in Pampanga. Their family has been creating and distributing their sweets since the 1920s. The making of the delicacies were taught to them by a Dominican sister, not only to Mrs. Lansang but other families as well. After their passing only the family of Mrs. Lansang continued the business of making the sweet delicacies such as Sylvannas, Sansrival and their most famous product, their Turones de Casoy.

My mom, grandmother, aunt and I went out there to visit and buy some sweets. I found out that the owners were a family friend of ours. Two of the sons of Mrs. Lansang became teachers of my mom and all her siblings.

This humble yellow abode has been and still is their headquarters and factory where they make all their products and distribute them all over Pampanga. The factory is located just behind the Sta. Rita Town Church where the Sta. Rita Relic from Spain resides. The factory has been featured in numerous Television programs such as ABS-CBN, GMA, and Channel 36. It has also been a common Educational tour stop by schools all over Luzon.

The owner, Sir Ramon states that before their mother died she told them that no matter what happens, even with gaining super ultra-success in the business they must remember that the quality of the delicacies must always be maintained. He even says that the recipes have always remained the same throughout all these years, they have never changed it. And I think by doing so, they are not only preserving family history and tradition but the quality of their products as well.

Apart from sticking to tradition, one of the things that makes them a success is the price of their products. You get good quality for a good price.

Below are some pictures on how they make their Turones de Casoy. We weren't able to get a tour by the owner during one of our visit over there while they were making them because the owner, Mr. Ramon was out delivering their products in Angeles City, Pampanga. We were still able to take some pictures and the old lady kept on smiling at us and kept giving us Turones de Casoy that she just finished making. So whenever you're in Pampanga, try to visit the famous Ocampo-Lansang Delicacies of Pampanga.

How to get there:  You can drive a car or take a jeep going there. From San Fernando or once you enter Pampanga from NLEX from Manila, you just go straight and follow the main highway, beyond the town of Bacolor until you see an intersection and a sign that says Sta. Rita. This is where you turn right and again go straight until you see a pillar that says Sta. Rita go straight still just a few meters and you will see a sign where you’ll see Sta. Rita Church and an arrow directing right, then turn right. Or when you spot the public market turn right at its corner. Once you turn right just go straight ahead until you see a decorated bright yellow house which you really can’t miss. That bright yellow house is where you will find the Ocampo-Lansang Delicacies’ main headquarters.
